Welcome to the Department of Philosophy's website !

Our department is one of Germany's great centres for philosophy. Seven professors and in total about fourty members of faculty work in the department. We offer our students a broad range of courses in all fields of philosophy, classes by international visiting professors and cooperations with foreign universities.

A vast number of research activities, regular special lectures and international conferences ensure a stimulating environment for students, postgraduates and visitors.
